Instructions
Step 1 - Make the Angel's body
Cut approximately 6cm of 0.6mm wire.
Straighten the wire using a pair of nylon nose pliers or by pulling it between your thumb and index finger.
Turn a loop at one end of the wire with the round nose pliers.
Step 2
Thread the following beads onto the wire in this order:
- 1 x 6mm round fire-polished bead
- 1 x 8mm round fire-polished bead
- 1 x 10mm rose quartz bead
- 2 x Crystal AB size 11 seed beads
- 1 x Swarovski spacer bead ( for the halo)
Trim the wire to about 15mm. Leave about 3mm of space, after the spacer bead halo, and turn another small loop.
Step 3- Make the Angel's skirt
Straighten the 0.6mm wire. Cut 6 x 6cm lengths.
At one end of one piece of wire turn a small loop and thread on 4 x 8mm fire-polished oval beads and a 4mm fire-polished round bead. Trim the top of the wire to about 10mm and turn another small loop.
Repeat for the other 5 pieces of wire.
Step 4- Attach the skirt to the Angel's body
Cut a 10cm length of 0.3mm wire and, leaving a short tail, wrap one end of it around the body between the 8mm and the 6mm beads.
Trim the short end and on the long end thread on one of the pieces of the Angel's skirt. Make sure the 4mm bead is at the top.
Step 5
Wrap the long end of the wire tightly around the body again, to hold the skirt piece in place, and thread on the next skirt piece.
Repeat for each of the skirt pieces.
Wrap the wire tightly around the body for one last time and trim the wire.
Step 6
Cut a 12cm length of 0.3mm wire and, leaving a short tail, wrap it around one of the skirt lengths between the top two oval beads.
Trim the short tail with your wire cutters, preferably on the inside of the angel's skirt so that the cut edges are on the inside.
Step 7
Thread a 4mm round bead onto the wire and wrap the wire around the next skirt length between the top two oval beads.
Repeat around the skirt until you get back to the point where you started. Wrap the wire tightly around this skirt piece and trim. This means you have added a total of 6 of the 4mm round beads one between each skirt piece.
Step 8
Cut another 15cm length of 0.3mm wire and wrap it around one of the skirt lengths between the 2nd and third beads from the bottom.
Add 2 x 4mm round beads and wrap around the next skirt piece as before. Continue around the skirt. When you get back to the starting point wrap the wire tightly around the skirt piece and trim.
Step 9 - Finish the Angel's Skirt
Cut another 15cm length of wire and repeat between the bottom and the 2nd oval bead but this time add 3 x 4mm round beads between each skirt piece.
Step 10 - Add the Angel's Arms
Cut a 10cm length of 0.3mm wire and wrap one end around the angel's neck between the Rose Quartz and the 8mm fire-polished bead.
Trim the short end close to the beads.
Step 11
Thread on:
- 11 x pink seed beads
- 1x 4mm rose quartz bead
- 1 x 6mm star bead
- 1 x 4mm rose quartz bead
- 11 x pink seed beads
Wrap the end of the wire around the angel's neck and trim close to the beads.
Step 12 - Make the Angels Wings
Take the 15cm length of 0.4mm wire.
Wrap the middle of this wire around the angel's neck, above the arm wire, and cross over at the back.
Step 13
On one side thread on 9 x 4mm fire-polished round beads.
Trim the wire to 10mm and turn a small loop.
Bend the wire into a wing shape, so that it looks like one side of a heart.
Repeat on the other side of the wire.
Step 14 - Join the wings together
Place the 6mm heart bead on the head pin. Trim the pin to about 10mm above the heart and turn a small loop.
Open the loop at the top of the heart bead and loop it through the loops at the end of the wings. Close the loop.
Step 15 - Make and attach the hook
Use 9cm of the 0.6mm wire to make a hook. Turn a small loop at one end of the wire and bend the wire into an S-shape by wrapping it around a thick pen.
Take the hook and thread the end without a loop on it through the loop at the top of the angel.
Turn a small loop at this end and your angel is finished and ready to hang up.
